My name is Harper! I’m currently 20 years old, and live in San Marcos, TX! I identify as nonbinary and use they/them pronouns, and I’m a BIG ol’ dork. I hope that once I graduate I can work as a copywriter or social media manager for an advertising agency, and beyond that hopefully go back to graduate school and pursue my dream of becoming a psychologist!
I’ve been playing video games basically my whole life, so of course I had to make my blog about them and how they’ve effected me personally. I realize this blog turned more into a personal storytelling platform rather than the normal video game news corner I thought it would be, but I can’t complain! I’m a story teller at heart and nothing can stop me from gushing about things that have had such an impact on my life.
I’m taking this Digital Media class mainly because it’s a requirement for my Digital Media focus in my Advertising major, but I also just enjoy this class so much! Learning about how exactly digital media works and has grown so large and prevalent in our lives is super interesting, not to mention this class makes me feel like I’ll actually use this information for my career in the future. You don’t need Organic Chemistry or Algebra to write a TV ad or create a creative campaign, that’s for sure.
